Jonathan Yu
FOUNDER & BROKER, INITIA REAL ESTATE
Jonathan Yu is the founder of INITIA, but more importantly, he’s someone who started with a simple question: what if real estate teams truly worked for agents, not the other way around? Introduced to the industry at a young age and licensed in 2010, Jonathan quickly experienced both sides of real estate, the excitement of helping clients and the challenges of high fees, limited support, and a lack of transparency.
INITIA was built from that perspective, with a clear goal: to create opportunities for agents that are fair, motivating, and genuinely impactful. In 2026, that vision led to a strategic move to the eXp Realty platform, creating a more future-ready model centered on stronger agent economics, advanced technology, scalable systems, enhanced support and training, and continued investment in marketing and tools. It was a deliberate step toward building a more agile, efficient, and agent-first environment.
Those who work with Jonathan often describe him as hands-on and present, someone who shows up not just for the wins, but in the challenging moments. He works closely with agents to mentor, strategize, and problem-solve, helping them navigate deals, grow their business, and build something sustainable and fulfilling.
